What is it?

The course stretches over 8 weekly sessions of about 90 minutes each. It is practice-oriented and exercise-based. There will be no preaching or discussing of any worldview or faith. The course will introduce students to silence through meditation, the Jesus Prayer and the basics of a contemplative lifestyle. Each week participants will be given exercises for daily life; it is important to dedicate 30 minutes daily for practice outside the course itself.

You will learn how to:

– comfortably sit in silent meditation

– tame the wandering mind

– use different postures and anchors to remain focussed

– embody silence

– walk mindfully

– infuse your life with unceasing prayer

– face your own darkness

– forgive and let go

– be open for an encounter with divine light
